Why Articl.net?

There is no one way to learn or teach. The goal of articl.net is to have one place where we can find as well as add links of the good articles, videos, blogs, podcasts, tweets and also upload relevant images and presentations to all specialties related to Radiology.

We have an immense desire to learn throughout our residencies and fellowships. There are numerous books, journal articles, blogs, videos, social media posts to guide us with education. However, it is very difficult to find the most helpful resources among these contents. Also, many times we may not remember where we stumbled upon an excellent resource on a subject just a few days back.

The stakes became much higher once we start working as a staff. We try to gain knowledge to help patients in several ways – learn from conferences, technical notes, YouTube videos, from users posting on Twitter, etc. I learned many technical tips reading case reports, learned how to use glue for embolization from a YouTube video, and learned how to straighten a Gastrojejunostomy tube coiled in the stomach from a tweet. I wanted to create a site where professionals can add articles, videos, images, tweets, presentations that have helped them and could also help others.

Articl.net is that website. On the site, we can see, share helpful resources throughout our career in a professional approach similar to our curriculum. The page https://articl.net/resource/prostatic-artery-embolization-technique shows the potential of the website.

The website has two main sections – Articl and Notes.
‘Articl’ is the main part of the website. The website is organized as Specialty -> Subspecialty -> Category -> Subcategory. All authorized registered users can add content to the subcategory page. Adding content is easy. Clicking the + button next to the resources open up the select resource type button. The rest of the steps are self-explanatory.

The ‘Notes’ can be visualized at the desktop right sidebar or the mobile lower section. It is similar to other social media websites and is meant to add relevant tips, comments about that particular URL/page of the website.

The website is open access with registration being 2 steps. Once you register to the website, you will receive an email to verify your credentials. After authorization, you can add content.

I encourage all the radiologists, radiology technologists to share content. If you find articl.net helpful, do register and help others like you with your knowledge. We all are trying to do the best for the patient and avoid any mistakes which could lead to complications.

We have an extraordinary profession that allows us as individuals to have a significant impact on our patient’s lives. Together, let us realize our goal to be the best medical professional we can be.
